Check out episode 3 of Embedded for UFC 212.
UFC 212 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Rio, and it serves as a brief introduction to the four fighters that make up the top of the card. It introduces a bunch of others as well.
UFC interim featherweight champion Max Holloway kicks off this episode, traveling up to see the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio. Fellow UFC fighter Yancy Medeiros is along for the visit, and while Holloway talks about the importance of checking out the Christ statue and the connection with his nickname, Blessed, Medeiros jumps into ask if the people have heard the Brazilian national anthem.
Cue up Bubba Sparxx singing the first lines to Ms. New Booty – “Booty booty booty booty rockin’ everywhere.”
Way to kill the moment, Yancy.
Next up, Oluwale Bamgbose does some sparring on the beach and talks about being in Brazil. His opponent Paulo Borrachinha is also given an introduction. The FS1 prelims are headlined by Raphael Assuncao and former WSOF champ Marlon Moraes, and they get a little of the Embedded treatment as well.
Vitor Belfort has a service dog. So many jokes.
Nate Marquardt’s wife talks about him wanting to propose back in the day on a trip to Brazil, but her dad wouldn’t let her go so Nate had to do it back in Colorado.
Finally, the four top fighters on the card show up – Claudia Gadelha, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Jose Aldo, and Holloway. They sign some posters (and Karolina gets some gear), and we’re done.
UFC 212 goes down June 3rd in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
