UFC 213 payouts and salaries: Alistair Overeem leads payday way with $800k

UFC 213 fighter payouts for those athletes competing at the “Whittaker vs. Romero” mixed martial arts (MMA) event last weekend (Sat., July 8, 2017) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, were released earlier today by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

UFC 213 was headlined by the five-round middleweight title fight between Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero (highlights), which ended with a unanimous-decision win for “The Reaper.”

That’s because Amanda Nunes was forced to withdraw due to illness and will not get paid for her eleventh-hour scratch. Opponent Valentina Shevchenko, however, will reportedly be given $70,000 for showing up ready to fight.

Elsewhere on the UFC 213 fight card, Alistair Overeem won his rubber match with Fabricio Werdum (video), while Anthony Pettis got back to his winning ways by outpointing Jim Miller (watch it).

That’s not all.
