UFC 213 is all set to go down from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday July 8, 2017 and will feature a women’s Bantamweight title fight that will see current division champion Amanda Nunes attempt to defend her title against Valentina Schevchenko.
The two women initially threw down at UFC 196 in March of 2016, as “Lioness” took home a unanimous decision victory over “Bullet.” Both women have been on a roll since then, with Nunes winning the division strap after knocking out Miesha Tate at UFC 200 and subsequently doing the same to Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 a few months later.
As for Valentina, she took out former champion Holly Holm and top contender Julianna Pena on her way to her first-ever UFC title fight against a woman she knows all too well.
In the co-main event of the evening, Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero will go toe-to-toe for the interim Middleweight title adn the right to unify the straps against division king Michael Bisping. Plus, Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem throw down for the third time in a pivotal heavyweight bout.
