Check out the first episode of Embedded for UFC 217.
UFC 217 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the first episode for this weekend’s big show in NYC, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Things start off with UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping in California. Coach Jason Parillo talks about his training and improvement. He drives his Maserati home with some doughnuts with his kids, which he can’t eat. His son Lucas actually picks him to win, which is unusual. His reason? “Georges is a terrible name.” Okay then. Bisping then makes fun of Georges St-Pierre’s acting.
We’re off to Montreal, where Freddie Roach is working with GSP. They’re listening to some James Brown. Roach talks about cornering an MMA fight for the first time.
Now we’re in Sacramento with UFC bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt. He sees a black cat, which is bad luck. Urijah Faber talks a bit about the fight. They have a party at Faber’s house, with fellow Team Alpha Male members Clay Guida, Sage Northcutt, and Andre Fili, among others.
T.J. Dillashaw has a nice dinner with family and talks about not having to cut a lot of weight.
Strawweight title challenger Rose Namajunas attends a Halloween party at the gym, and goofs around with the kids and boyfriend Pat Barry.
Finally we’re in Florida with the champ, Joanna Jedrzejczyk. She says this will probably be her easiest weight cut yet. She does a workout, then kisses her fist for the camera again.
And that’s it!
UFC 217 goes down this Saturday night in Madison Square Garden.
