Now that UFC Fight Night 122 is in the books — full results here — it’s time to look ahead to Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) next offering.
And it’s a big one.
UFC 218 is all set to go down on Saturday Dec. 2, 2017 inside Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit, Michigan, and will feature a Featherweight championship rematch between current champion Max Holloway taking on former division king, Jose Aldo. “Blessed” initially dethroned Aldo from the top of the 145-pound mountain at UFC 212 earlier this year.
Now, the Brazilian bomber will look for some get-back and hope to reclaim his title after he was gifted a rematch against the Hawaiian-born fighter after Frankie Edgar was forced out of his title fight against Max due to a facial fracture. In the end, it seems fight fans win either way, as a rematch between Holloway vs Aldo is something many won’t mind seeing.
In the co-main event, Alistair Overeem and Francis Ngannou will go to war in a Heavyweight affair that could provide the next challenger to Stipe Miocic’s 265-pound strap.
