Check out the second episode of Embedded for UFC 220.
UFC 220 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the first episode for this weekend’s big show in Boston, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Things start out in the San Jose airport, where Daniel Cormier’s family is joking around with him. Apparently he used the dog’s brush instead of a real one to brush his daughter’s hair one day. His wife is having fun telling people the story, and his daughter concurs.
Stipe Miocic heads out to Lowe’s, and keeps hanging up on his wife when she calls. Finally he calls back. Predictably, she says ‘f—k you’ and hangs up on him. When they depart, he pretends to leave his buddy there. He’s also very proud of the coat rack he was able to put up.
Volkan Oezdemir is out with his team having dinner and watching the fights last Sunday. Kamaru Usman and Michael Johnson are his teammates, so they’re interested in the main card. Bellator’s Linton Vassell gets a cameo talking about Volkan. Luke Rockhold, who is training with that camp as well and is obviously a longtime training partner of Cormier, puts it well – “let the best man win”.
Cormier and Francis Ngannou do some media together, and joke around during all of it. DC wants Ngannou to sell a bunch of PPVs, but Francis says he wants all the money for it. Then a radio show host’s son comes in to talk to Ngannou. The kid predicts a fifth-round KO.
And that’s it! UFC 220 goes down in Boston on Saturday night.
