Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 228.
UFC 228 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in the Dallas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off with UFC flyweight champ Nicco Montano, who talks about her Native American heritage as she does hot yoga. Challenger Valentina Shevchenko arrives in Dallas and does a guest spot on Good Morning Texas. Darren Till is in McCarran Airport in Vegas, about to head out to Dallas.
Back in St. Louis, Tyron Woodley is preparing to head to Dallas as well. His family does a prayer for him.
In Albuquerque, Montano is food shopping and discussing her weight cut. It appears that she pays with EBT (the equivalent of food stamps), but it’s unclear if that’s actually the case or what the circumstances are surrounding that.
Shevchenko works out and talks about how she got her start in martial arts, along with her sister. At the Hilton in Dallas, we’re introduced to Tatiana Suarez for the first time, who fights Carla Esparza in the featured prelim bout. Her and her team head to the mall, which she says helps keep her mind off of the fight.
Now we go to Brandon Davis, who is in on short notice to fight Zabit Magomedsharipov. He is doing a late workout in the hotel. The next day, Zabit gets fitted for his gloves and talks about the unfortunate injury to Yair Rodriguez.
And that’s it! UFC 228 goes down in Dallas on Saturday night.
