Check out the second episode of Embedded for UFC 234.
UFC 234 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the second episode for this weekend’s big show in Melbourne, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Middleweight title challenger Kelvin Gastelum is up early to watch the Super Bowl in Australia – on Monday. He talks about how great Australia is so far, then gives Dana some props for his (and my) New England Patriots winning the Super Bowl yet again. Brady’s the GOAT! Deal with it!
We’re off to a clothing store, where light heavyweight Jim Crute has to look nice for media day but has no clue about fashion. He has a cut below his eye, that he picked up wrestling (somehow). He ends up settling on something a tad Conor McGregor-like. He then goes for lunch and talks over some strategy with coach Sam Greco.
Montana De La Rosa has left the US for the first time to fight in Australia. she discusses her opponent a bit, and isn’t bothered by fighting on someone else’s turf. Israel Adesanya arrives in Melbourne and talks about his parents becoming huge MMA fans.
Gastelum goes to a 10th Planet affiliate gym in Melbourne. The gym owner is loving having Gastelum and Rafael Cordeiro there, as expected. He does a workout and he’s very positive about the experience overall.
And that’s it! No Robert Whittaker at all, which is a bit weird. Anyway, UFC 234 goes down Sunday (Saturday night in North America) in Melbourne.
