Khalil Rountree dominated Eryk Anders for three rounds on the UFC 236 PPV main card.
The UFC 236 PPV main card witnessed Khalil Rountree put on a pure striking clinic on Eryk Anders. His recent time spent at Tiger Muay Thai under the care of George Hickman seemed to have paid off, as Rountree appeared vastly improved in his standup. Rountree now sits at 4-3-1 within the UFC.
Rountree took the center right away, launching kicks and leaving Anders to play the outside. Anders seemed to be befuddled by what Rountree was doing. The leg kicks from Rountree were brutal, and they landed often. Anders had really limited offense in that round.
Rountree dropped Anders within the first-minute of the second round. He allowed his foe to return to his feet, just to drop him again with a left. Anders stood back up and started shooting a desperation takedown. Then, it was a right hook that dropped Anders for the third time. Anders again got up, but was knocked back down for a fourth time. Somehow, Anders recovered, and made it out of the round. Anders came out for the final frame, but it was just more of the same.
