Here is the fight card and bout order for UFC 240, set for July 27th in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The UFC’s second PPV of July originates from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with featherweight champion Max Holloway defending his title against former lightweight king Frankie Edgar in the main event. Former women’s featherweight champ Cris Cyborg faces Felicia Spencer in the co-main event.
Let’s be real here, this is not a strong offering for a pay-per-view. Geoff Neal vs. Niko Price should be an awesome fight because those two are great to watch, but there are technically only five ranked fighters across the entire show: Holloway, Edgar, Alexis Davis, Alexandre Pantoja, and Deiveson Figueiredo. Cyborg and Spencer aren’t ranked because women’s featherweight only has a handful of fighters, and the UFC literally doesn’t have rankings for that division. Davis, Pantoja, and Figueiredo are on the prelims. And from a competitive standpoint, Holloway and Cyborg are both justifiably huge favorites over their respective opposition.
That’ll be another $60-$65 of your money this month.
