Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for UFC 242.
UFC 242 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show in the Abu Dhabi, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start with Paul Felder in his hotel room, talking about his daughter. She’s old enough to miss him when he’s gone for camps, and would prefer that he was a gardener. That’s kind of funny. He then goes to the gym to do a workout to facilitate his weight cut. He talks about controlling his emotions in the days before he gets in the cage.
Javier Mendez and Khabib Nurmagomedov talk about not underestimating Dustin Poirier.
Open workouts time. Poirier wraps his own hands. Mike Brown says he’s the only one to do that, and Poirier compares it to…well, you can watch and find out. Felder works out first, then says he wants to show everyone what he’s made of. There’s no bad blood, this is just martial arts. Poirier is up next. He has an opportunity to be great, and he thinks he’ll achieve it.
Edson Barboza is up next. He’s the best Barboza ever. Finally it’s Khabib. The crowd is going crazy. What time is it? It’s Khabib time, according to the crowd. He’s asked if he’ll dance after he wins. He states that his dad says ‘if you don’t know how to dance, please don’t dance’.
And that’s it! UFC 242 goes down Saturday morning in Abu Dhabi.
