After all was said and done at the UFC 244 pay-per-view (PPV) event — which went down on Sat., Nov. 2, 2019 inside Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., — there was plenty of “Thrill and Agony” to go around.
Sharing in the obvious joy was Jorge Masvidal, who claimed the “BMF” title after defeating Nate Diaz in he headlining act via doctor’s stoppage (highlights). To add to his joy, Masvidal shared some one-on-one time with “The Rock” backstage, who promised to attend everyone of Jorge’s fights moving forward.
On the flip side of that coin, Nate was left in agony after coming up short in his quest to be labeled “the baddest mother fucker” in mixed martial arts (MMA) due to some bad cuts around his right eye. As far as that immediate rematch, that is now completely out the window since the Stockton slugger has declared he will be going on another extended hiatus.
Also sharing in the joy was Darren Till, who made a successful debut at Middleweight after edging out Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event. Meanwhile, Kelvin now has to go back to the drawing board after suffering his second straight defeat.
