Check out the first episode of Embedded for UFC 247.
UFC 247 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the first episode for this weekend’s big show in Houston, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at Dominick Reyes’ house, where he’s getting a workout done in his living room. He mentions that it takes a while to get his heart rate up because of his conditioning. He then packs for the fight. Moving on, he talks about his connection to the recently-deceased Kobe Bryant. He always wore his number, and he hopes he can honor his legacy.
Down in Texas, Valentina Shevchenko is doing a workout eight days away from her title defense against Katlyn Chookagian. She started out in Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand for this camp, then moved to Texas. Her coach talks about Chookagian.
Up in Jersey at Nick Catone’s gym, Chookagian discusses her martial arts journey. Mark Henry talks about her hunger. She says it’s easy to train for a title fight.
Reyes is at Cobra Kai getting a last workout in. Former TUF winner Joe Stevenson talks about his charge, and what we’re going to see from him.
Finally we had to Albuquerque. Jon Jones leads a prayer. He’s good to go. Mike Winkeljohn believes that Jones is only mid-career right now. He’s ready for victory.
And that’s it! UFC 247 goes down this Saturday in Houston.
