It’s media day time for the top fighters at UFC 248. Among them is headliner and reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
“The Last Stylebender” is one of the UFC’s rising stars. His personality, his fighting style, and dominance inside the Octagon all look like the makings of MMA’s next big draw. The first defense of his 185 lbs title will come against Yoel Romero, who may be coming off losses to Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa (Adesanya’s original opponent before Costa was sidelined with injury), but is nevertheless an ever-present danger to anyone who fights him. It should be an electrifying main event between two devastating strikers.

UFC 248 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, March 7th. The co-main event pits strawweight champion Weili Zhang against former champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
