Check out the fifth episode of Embedded for UFC 248.
UFC 248 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth episode for this weekend’s big show in Sin City, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off, as usual, at the UFC Performance Institute. Weili Zhang signs some pictures. They briefly show Li Jingliang, then Sean O’Malley’s coach talks about his weight cut. He thinks Sugar Sean will score the first round knockout. O’Malley has been out for two years, and he says he’s the healthiest he’s ever been going into a fight. Weili jumps in the cold pool, and it sucks.
Mike Brown makes fun of Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s cauliflower ear. Her weight is on point. She was happy to do the open workouts for her fans, because she wouldn’t be there without them. Mic drop.
The go right to Ultimate Media Day and the face-offs. Jose Quinonez has been waiting to fight O’Malley for a long time. O’Malley says that it didn’t take long to get in top form again. Weili and Joanna discuss their matchup. Zhang makes fun of Joanna’s heels backstage. Joanna tries to talk smack at the face-off. Weili shuts that down quickly with a simple “shut up”. The media laughs at that. Joanna keeps trying, Weili tells her to shut up again while smiling. Dana just looks confused.
Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero face off respectfully. Romero says guys take a long time off after fighting him. Adesanya wants the scariest guy in the division, and that’s him.
That’s it! UFC 248 goes down tonight in Vegas.
