UFC 249 is almost here (finally), and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show in Jacksonville, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

Things start off with Henry Cejudo’s coach talking smack. Michelle Waterson is worried about the corona test pushing a booger back into her brain. That was funny. Dominick Cruz says that cutting weight on a plane was not fun. He liked it better when he could do it at home and his meal plan was just delivered to his front door.

Back to Cejudo’s coach awkwardly talking smack again. Next.

Tony Ferguson and a small contingent of training partners, including Eddie Bravo, get a workout in. Bravo talks about playing chess with his eight-year-old everyday, and destroying him. Everyone laughs.

Crew members talk about the challenges of setting up with social distancing in mind. Basically it takes a lot longer. They talk about getting this all done safely and establishing a framework for other sports to do the same thing. This was pre-Jacare, obviously.

Ferguson talks about opponent Justin Gaethje. He’s not changing up his game at all. Gaethje talks about the fight game being a puzzle. Francis Ngannou isn’t focused on a title shot after this, he’s just focused on this fight. Jairzinho Rozenstruik wants to be a champion.

Cowboy Cerrone makes his first appearance. His RV is outside. Anthony Pettis says that he’s pretty good friends with Cowboy now, but they’re ready to fight. Dana White talks about guys wanting to be like Cerrone, fighting five or six times a year. But when it comes down to it, most guys can’t. Cowboy didn’t even know who he was fighting when he accepted. That’s just who he is. Cejudo is ready to go. Cruz discusses returning after so long off. He still has fought tougher guys and has more Octagon time than Cejudo, so he’s ready.

And that’s it! UFC 249 goes down this Saturday in Jacksonville.
