Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for UFC 250.
UFC 250 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s “big” show in UFC Apex, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at the Performance Institute with Raphael Assuncao. He thinks he has the advantage everywhere over opponent Cody Garbrandt. He FaceTimes with his wife and child while on the treadmill. Amanda Nunes is there too, getting some sparring in. Nina Ansaroff says she’s happiest right before a fight. Coach Mike Brown says Nunes is well prepared for Felicia Spencer.
It’s virtual media day. Spencer feels like she’s different and unique, and motivated to take out Nunes. Sean O’Malley talks opponent Eddie Wineland, saying he knows the action will start quickly in a small cage. Wineland is rocking a big moustache. He says his experience in the cage is a big advantage for him. Garbrandt is talking to Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik. Megan Olivi is there too. Garbrandt says his mental game is back, and his passion. That will be the biggest difference. Nunes says she will defend her second belt and she is the best.
Back at the hotel, Nunes is starting her weight cut. Conan Silveira says it should be easy. He says she likes to lose weight training, as opposed to the sauna. Back at the PI, O’Malley needs to cut nine pounds. Forrest Griffin walks in again. O’Malley’s coach says it’s all about the mental game for his charge.
And that’s it! UFC 250 goes down tonight in Sin City.
