We are just a few days away from UFC 251, which is set to go down this Saturday night (July 11, 2020) on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Headlining the event is Kamaru Usman defending his Welterweight title against Jorge Masvidal in a revamped championship bout (details).
In UFC 251’s co-main event, 145-pound kingpin Alexander Volkanovski rematches Max Holloway in a Featherweight title fight, while Jose Aldo looks to add another division title to his ever-impressive resume when he faces Petr Yan for the vacant Bantamweight strap.
While it has been a crazy start of the week for “Fight Island” — with three positive COVID-19 results prompting the promotion to adjust its line ups — Masvidal is clearly enjoying all the attention that comes with accepting a championship fight against “Nigerian Nightmare” half a world away … and on just six days notice.
Indeed, the show must go on, and UFC “Embedded” is on location giving fight fans a behind-the-scenes look at all the madness of fight week preparations.
From the official YouTube description:
Champ Alexander Volkanovski adjusts his training schedule to the time zone. Jessica Andrade, Rose Namajunas, and Max Holloway change up their camps for the COVID era. Headliner Jorge Masvidal pairs a Versace robe with a Trump mask.
