Check out the midweek betting odds for Saturday’s UFC 252 card, where Daniel Cormier is slightly favored to defeat Stipe Miocic to capture the heavyweight belt again in their main event three-match.
UFC 252 – ‘MIOCIC VS. CORMIER 3 is going down this Saturday (August 15th) from the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The night will be capped off with a heavyweight trilogy title fight between the defending king, Stipe Miocic, and the former ruler, Daniel Cormier. The winner of this battle for heavyweight G.O.A.T. will walk away with major bragging rights, a shiny new belt, and will lead and likely finish up the series at 2-1. Bloody Elbow is here to provide the betting lines for this high-stakes three-match, as well as the rest of the UFC 252 card.
When the gambling lines first dropped for Stipe vs. DC 3, it was Miocic who was the betting favorite at -130 to Cormier’s underdog offering of -110. Since then, DC has ventured as low as -140 and is currently residing as the favorite at -115. As for Miocic, he broke through the plus line barrier, hitting +120 at one point before dropping back down into minus territory at -105.
Stipe vs. DC 1 had Miocic as a -200 favorite to Cormier’s +175 dog-tag, and Daniel scored the first-round knockout. Stipe vs. DC 2 saw Cormier as a -140 betting favorite to Miocic’s underdog line of +120, and Stipe earned a fourth-round knockout. So, the underdog won in the two previous meetings. This time around, the way the odds move do a great job of reflecting just how much of a coin-flip this matchup is. It’s so even that any straight up moneyline found with a plus mark is the better value. There are a few betting sites left that still have Miocic at plus odds, but don’t expect them to last for very long.
The over/under for this 25-minute championship contest has been set at 2.5 rounds. The ‘Over’ occupies the favored role, clocking in at -145, with the “Under’ trending at a small underdog value of +125. Their first-two bouts didn’t go the distance, so what makes anyone believe that this time will be any different? The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ holds a strongly favored betting mark of -210, with a +160 comeback on the ‘Fight goes to decision’ option.
