Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 253.
UFC 253 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show on Fight Island, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at the fighter hotel in Abu Dhabi. Kai Kara-France is working out in his room. The City Kickboxing head coach says it’s the best camp ever. And that the team had to live in the gym for three weeks due to Covid, which helped them bond. Israel Adesanya says it’s a bull-matador type fight with Paulo Costa.
Costa does some media, and says his camp ended up being four or five months. He signs some posters and tries on his gloves, as he talks about getting the job done in the cage on Saturday.
Jan Blachowicz and his wife grab some coffee. He plays some ping pong in the Kid’s Zone. Then pool. Just relaxing. He does his training early in the morning to simulate the fight time, so he has a lot of the day free to chill.
Big Nog is here! He talks to Dominick Reyes about how to handle Blachowicz. They talk about how important the belt is.
Back in Adesanya’s room. They’re playing the new UFC video game. It’s the first time he’s played as himself. He drops Costa twice and knocks him out with a head kick (in the game, of course). He’s very happy. We go back to Costa, and get a classic interview from the infamous Wallid Ismail about Adesanya being scared.
Adesanya goes for a walk, and greets Jake Matthews and Hakeem Dawodu. He signs some posters, and talks about Costa never going five rounds. He laughs at Costa’s signature.
And that’s it! UFC 253 goes down this Saturday night (Sunday in Abu Dhabi).
