Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for UFC 253.
UFC 253 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show on Fight Island, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
As usual, we start at the fighter hotel. Jan Blachowicz’s coach was quarantined for like five days, but is now free. He’s also his main sparring partner.
Dominick Reyes goes down to the beach, where it’s empty. They check out the Octagon in the sand. He’s training with his three brothers. They all pose in front of the Fight Island sign, then go for a swim. They all get out and horse around in the Octagon. Reyes talks about winning the title.
Back in Israel Adesanya’s room now. He says the goal was never to win the belt and just drop it in the next fight. The title is just a “fancy tiara”, and is a part of his path and his legacy.
Paulo Costa does some media, and says that it’s kill or be killed (in English this time). He says that his team knows he can go the full five rounds. But he thinks he willl finish it before then. Diego Sanchez signs the Fight Island wall. He spouts a Diegoism about the self, and love and stuff.
Adesanya does media now, and says that muscles don’t win fights. And when the skinny guy wins, the casuals will have their brains melt.
Jan Blachowicz said he did want to take the belt from Jon Jones, but he’s fine with beating Reyes. He can always get Jones later. He thinks this is the biggest fight in Polish MMA history. He sees a bunch of fireworks outside, and says when he wins his fight, that’s how Poland is going to look.
And that’s it! UFC 253 goes down this Sunday in Abu Dhabi (Saturday evening on North American time).
