How Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Alex Perez compare in key stats heading into UFC 255

Deiveson Figueiredo looks to make his first defense of the UFC flyweight title when he faces Alex Perez in the main event of Saturday’s UFC 255 pay-per-view card, which takes place at UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Figueiredo cost himself the vacant 125-pound title in February when he failed to make weight for a contest opposite Joseph Benavidez. Had Figueiredo checked in at the championship weight of 125 pounds, he would have claimed the title after he stopped Benavidez via TKO. In a July rematch, Figueiredo made weight. He took control of the UFC flyweight title that night when he scored a first-round technical submission win over Benavidez. The 125-pound champ is on a four-fight winning streak. His only loss came against Jussier Formiga. Formiga, who was recently released by the UFC following a three-fight losing skid, earned a decision win over Figueiredo in 2019.

Perez has wins in his past three outings. His only UFC loss came in 2018 when Benavidez scored a TKO win over him. Perez has finishes in his two most recent trips to the octagon. Those victories include a first-round stoppage over Formiga.

Before Saturday’s ESPN+ streaming pay-per-view card takes place, here is a look at how the main event competitors line up in the most important statistical categories.
