Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 255.

UFC 255 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in UFC Apex, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

Things start off at the airport, with Mike Perry arriving. He said that he used to wear all these nice clothes when he showed up to fight, but there was never a camera on him. So now he doesn’t care. Jennifer Maia is also arriving, and she loves Vegas. She’s won both fights she’s had in town, and while she hasn’t had the chance to see all the sights yet, she’s going to surprise everyone with her work in the Octagon.

Katlyn Chookagian is arriving too. She says flying from NYC was a lot easier than going to the UAE. She just fought a few weeks ago, but she wasn’t injured so she wanted to get back to it. To the tune of five fights in a year. She thinks that opponent Cynthia Calvillo will bring it and they’ll have an exciting fight.

Valentina and Antonina Shevchenko show up to do some media, but have to be Covid tested first. Their coach can’t figure out how to put his mask on. Valentina thinks she just needs to fight the right time to do the right thing to win. Maia says that Shevchenko is very smart so she has to keep her off balance during the fight. Valentina says that the pressures of being champion aren’t a big deal, because she grew up in a hard place and it prepared her for where she is now. She has to work twice as hard to maintain it, but she paid the price to get there and she’s not going to give it up.

Perry doesn’t get as worked up about fights any more because he has so much more going on outside of fighting. He doesn’t need beef with them to get the job done. He thinks people are calling him out, so he’s good. He runs into Paul Felder, who says he won’t be commentating his fight but just watching as a fan.

Back at the airport, Joaquin Buckley has arrived. He shows off a shirt that someone off of Instagram made for him. He wants to carry his own bag to get a workout in. He asks the limo driver if he can stop at the grocery store on the way to the hotel. His coach says he needs to be more conscious about what he eats, as Buckley asks him if he can buy cookies. He clowns around with the woman bagging his groceries.

And that’s it! UFC 255 goes down this Saturday night in Vegas.
