Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for UFC 257.

UFC 257 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show on Fight Island, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

We start off in Michael Chandler’s room, where coach Henri Hooft is playing music. He’s showing Chandler some videos of dance moves. He’s up early and doing an early workout to start cutting weight.

His opponent Dan Hooker is working out in his own room. He has his teammate goofily imitate Chandler, then apologizes to him to the camera. Just having some fun, and like his banter, it’s not to be taken seriously. He wants to see if Chandler is on the level that he thinks he is.

We get our first appearance by Joanne Calderwood. She’s playing video games. She plays as herself, and gets someone to play as her against herself. She’s having a laugh, which is always good in those situations before a fight.

We’re off to Dustin Poirier’s room. He’s got some weight to lose, so he’s jumping rope and keeping the tempo up with some upbeat music. He does some padwork. He stops working out and starts talking about his daughter. He’s a proud father.

Conor times. McGregor talks about the difference between the last Poirier fight and this one. His weight is good to go. He does a photoshoot and looks over the results. He’s switched from promotional mode to fight mode.

And that’s it! UFC 257 goes down in less than 24 hours on Fight Island.
