Check out the sixth episode of Embedded for UFC 257.
UFC 257 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the sixth and final episode for this weekend’s big show on Fight Island, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off with Jon Anik, who is super hype for the show and can’t sit still. Conor McGregor checks his weight backstage and he’s good to go. He gets on the real scale and he’s 155. “Championship weight,” he says. Dustin Poirier is next. 156. Conor gives him a thumbs up in the hallway and says “Good job Dustin!”. Poirier responds with “You too!”. I like this respect stuff.
Dan Hooker weighs in at 156. “Time to eat, time to drink, time to fight!” Michael Chandler is 156 as well.
Now it’s ceremonial weigh-ins time. McGregor walks down a hallway with his son and a whole lot of cameras. Chandler and Hooker face off. All respect, not surprising. Chandler points out that Hooker is taller than him. Hooker looks super cool and composed.
Then it’s the McGregor show. He plays to the crowd. Poirier’s out. They shake hands, then do some jockeying for the cameras. They laugh about it, and are arm in arm showing off to the crowd. Poirier gives him some hot sauce. Conor talks up the fight. Poirier will win by any means necessary. They bro hug again. Conor carries his daughter away. And this is on!
UFC 257 goes down in a few short hours on Fight Island! Can’t wait!
