Dustin Poirier’s leg kicks might sideline Conor McGregor for a long time.
At this weekend’s UFC 257 Dustin Poirier got revenge on Conor McGregor, TKOing the Irishman inside of two rounds in their main event lightweight duel. The last time these two met, back in 2014, McGregor left victorious, TKOing Poirier; also in the second round.
To earn his most famous win to date ‘Diamond’ battered McGregor’s legs with brutal leg kicks. And, according to the official medical suspensions, those kicks may have left lasting damage on ‘Notorious’.
According to details released to MixedMartialArts.com McGregor needs to be cleared with a leg injury or face a lengthy 180 day suspension.
McGregor’s not the only fighter facing a potential 180 ban from competition. A few other fighters also need x-rays to clear them before they can return to competition.

Marina Rodriguez (defeated Amanda Ribas by TKO), 7 days for mandatory rest.

Arman Tsarukyan (defeated Matt Frevola) by unanimous decision, 30 days for left brow and scalp laceration and 21 days no contact.
