Check out the second episode of Embedded for UFC 259.
UFC 259 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the first episode for this weekend’s huge show in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Jan Blachowicz is bored on a Sunday, so him and his team go to check out the Hoover Dam. He has to move to the fighter hotel in the morning. He can’t wait to fight. He buys a souvenir, then checks out the bridge.
Over at the PI, Petr Yan is working out. His coach believes that Yan will stop Aljamain Sterling in the third or fourth round. He needs to win to remove any doubts about his legitimacy as champ.
Israel Adesanya grabs a duty-free bottle of booze and proceeds to make fun of Paulo Costa with it. He’s moving to the UFC fighter hotel as well. Kai Kara France is glad that his team is all together.
Blachowicz does his COVID testing and tells a story. Apparently he’s superstitious. He also likes wolves.
We get our first look at Aleksandar Rakic at the PI. He wanted a top-five opponent, and he got it in Thiago Santos. He has something to prove. Islam Makhachev discusses his weight and how he was supposed to fight Drew Dober in 2016, but it fell apart. Now he gets his change.
Aljamain Sterling is working out with Ray Longo. Al Iaquinta says Aljamain is ready to go. His teammates encourage him as he throws a ton of kicks.
And that’s it! UFC 259 goes down this Saturday night in Vegas.
