UFC 259 is no longer ‘Location TBA’ and there’s even a chance you could be there to see it with a little luck.
The UFC’s recent pattern of one month Fight Island, two months Las Vegas continues.
The promotion has been shuttling their shows back and forth between Abu Dhabi and their UFC APEX arena in Vegas since a brief stint in Florida marked their return to action in May. A pattern emerged: July on Fight Island, August / September in Las Vegas. October on Fight Island, November / December Las Vegas. We just went through January back on Fight Island, and now UFC president Dana White has taken the Location TBA tag off their big February / March event.
UFC 259 on March 6th will go down in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex, and for the first time a small group of fans have the chance of winning their way into the building. Watch White’s announcement and the promo below:
UFC 259 is a pretty stacked card featuring three title fights (and five belts). Middleweight champ Israel Adesanya is headed up to light heavyweight to challenge 205 pound champ Jan Blachowicz. Current double champ Amanda Nunes will defend her women’s featherweight belt against Megan Anderson. And bantamweight champ Petr Yan will defend against Aljamain Sterling. Imagine being one of the handful of fans allowed into the building to witness this!
