UFC 260 is down to just ten fights.

We have an update to the Shane Young vs. Omar Morales cancellation news from earlier in the week. The good news is that Young vs. Morales is not off of UFC 260, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of the woods.

Young will need to clear regular fight week testing in order for the Morales fight to remain intact. He was a close contact to both Brad Riddell and Alex Volkanovski, who were removed from their respective fights due to COVID protocols. Volkanovski confirmed that he had tested positive for the virus and won’t fight Brian Ortega as scheduled this Saturday.

Now with that out of the way, there’s still more shuffling to be done on this suddenly depleted lineup.

Hannah Goldy’s positive COVID-19 test has postponed her matchup with former strawweight title challenger Jessica Penne to April 17th, leaving just 10 fights remaining for UFC 260.

Also on the prelims, William Knight is out of his fight with Alonzo Menifield and has been rebooked against Da Un Jung on April 10th. Menifield will still get to compete at 260 against Dana White’s Contender Series alum Fabio Cherant, who won the LFA light heavyweight title last month.

So that’s all for now. We think. UFC 260 features a heavyweight title rematch between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou.
