“Anyone saying I celebrated when Anderson’s leg snapped is entirely wrong”.
Some fans believe Chris Weidman’s leg break at UFC 261 is karma for what he did to Anderson Silva at UFC 168.

Weidman snapped Silva’s leg after checking a low kick in the second round and immediately began celebrating after Herb Dean waved the fight off.
Weidman is currently in hospital after suffering a gruesome leg break of his own against Uriah Hall and, despite suffering one of the most brutal injuries in the history of the sport, trolls on social media feel ‘All-American’ got what he deserved.
The former middleweight champion released a statement on social media earlier today where he cleared up what actually happened after the infamous Silva leg break at UFC 168.

“Anyone saying I celebrated when Anderson’s leg snapped is entirely wrong,” Weidman said. “After circling the octagon, I realized he was in severe pain by his yelling and immediately went and checked on him. There was no happiness on my behalf from that point on.”
Silva sent Weidman an uplifting message of support earlier this week, wishing his former foe a speedy recovery.
Weidman, 36, underwent successful surgery on Sunday and is adamant he will ‘get through this’.
