Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for UFC 261.

UFC 261 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show in Jacksonville, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

We start off in Kamaru Usman’s room at the fighter hotel in Jacksonville. Trevor Wittman is giving him some advice as he does a bit of shadowboxing. His other coach says he’s just knows what he needs to do to be ready.

Rose Namajunas is working out in her room with coach Greg Nelson. They’re doing more grappling stuff. Nelson worked with Kamaru first, then went to Rose. Pat Barry walks in. Usman comes to watch Rose hit pads.

Over in Jessica Andrade’s room, she’s doing some similar training. It was an intense camp for her. Her coach says Valentino Shevchenko always tries to use the same type of takedowns, and they’re working on defending them.

Off to Shevchenko’s room the next day. A training partner talks her up. Training is all she does. Shevchenko respects all of her opponents.

Andrade says she gets more nervous for photoshoots than for fights. She’s been lazy about learning English, but has the swear words down because that’s the first thing you learn. She shows off a little of what she knows that isn’t so offensive. Weili Zhang sees her and says hi.

Chris Weidman went down to South Carolina to train for the first time. He’s talking to Joseph Benavidez about fighting during the pandemic. They think it’s weird, and hard to get energy.

Shevchenko does a photoshoot in her new Venum fight kit, which she likes. Only the type of victory will be a surprise, not the victory itself. Justin Gaethje can’t wait to see her punch someone in the face. Jimmy Crute makes a quick appearance.

Weili gets a prize from her war with Joanna Jedrzejczyk – a Fight of the Year award. She thinks it’s a great thing for women in fighting, and she addresses the camera in English briefly.

And that’s it! UFC 261 goes down tomorrow night in Jacksonville.
