Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 263.
UFC 263 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third for this weekend’s huge show in Arizona, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at a gym in Scottsdale with Leon Edwards. His coach says Nate Diaz will be facing a true welterweight for the first time, one that can match his skills. He wants to win a title for England.
Deiveson Figueiredo is working some grappling in his room. His coach says a lot of his biggest victories have come via submission, but he likes to strike so he gets away from it sometimes. They want him to try to use it more.
We head over to Marvin Vettori’s place in Huntington Beach. He is using an experimental breathing device, and talking to a friend that was on an Italian reality show. He packs an Italian flag, and says he has a chance to make a wrong right in the same arena.
Israel Adesanya is in his room preparing for media. Vettori flies to Phoenix.
We see Paul Craig for the first time. He’s soaking up American culture, and is going to go to a Diamondbacks game. He likes to check out different sports. He also gets a custom-made Phoenix Suns jersey.
Brandon Moreno does the five-hour drive from San Diego to Phoenix. He is elated that a fan comes up with Mexican trading cards for him to sign. He talks about taking advantage of the six months between fights, and isn’t sure how to react if Figgy tries to talk smack to him because no opponent has before.
Adesanya walks into the lobby and shakes hands with Vettori. Vettori says he’s coming for the belt, Adesanya says he doesn’t have one yet. Vettori jokingly says “my friend” and Adesanya responds with “I’m not your friend”.
And that’s it! UFC 263 goes down this Saturday in Glendale.
