Check out the fifth episode of Embedded for UFC 263.
UFC 263 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth episode for this weekend’s huge show in Arizona, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Things start off with Stockton’s finest, Nate Diaz. He talks about the media stuff he has to do, but is glad it’s mostly done except for the press conference. He takes pictures with a variety of fans and fighters outside of the hotel.
Marvin Vettori is continuing his preparation for Israel Adesanya. Adesanya is intense while sparring, as usual. It’s his coaches birthday, and they give him a small cake with a “65” candle on it. Vettori is playing chess with a teammate, who says that he is super competitive.
Press conference time. Nick Diaz is with his brother. Brandon Moreno meets him. Adesanya starts talking smack about Vettori’s record right away. Nate sparks up, to the crowd’s delight. He makes Leon Edwards laugh because he wasn’t even paying attention to the question being asked. The crowd boos Edwards as he answers a question. Deiveson Figuieredo says he’s going to shut Moreno up. Israel throws something at Vettori at the end of the deal and gets him pretty heated.
Everyone squares off. Nate and Leon are respectful. Figueiredo pushes Moreno, but he laughs it off. Dana yells “don’t f—king touch him!” at Vettori, and he doesn’t. Yet.
And that’s it! UFC 263 goes down tonight in Phoenix.
