Moreno : D – Deiveson Figueiredo (DEC) | W – Brandon Royval (TKO) | W – Jussier Formiga (SUB)

How did these two get here?

Deiveson Figueiredo has been demolishing most flyweights on the UFC roster for the last few years. Figueiredo breezed past Alex Perez in his first title defense, but he met his match in Moreno when they fought last December. If Figueiredo was not deducted a point in that fight the outcome could have been very different. But for now, UFC 263 marks a chance for Figueiredo to erase any doubt that Moreno is the best flyweight in the world.

It’s easy to forget that Brandon Moreno is in his second UFC stint after being cut from the promotion in late 2018. ‘The Assassin Baby’ has not lost a fight since being resigned by the UFC in 2019, fighting to two draws and picking up three wins during that time. Among those wins included a first round TKO against Brandon Royval and decision victories against Jussier Formiga and Kai Kara France,
