Deiveson Figueiredo is tied with Demetrious Johnson for most UFC flyweight finishes.

On Saturday, Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno run back their UFC 256 “Fight of the Night” bout. The contest between flyweight champ Figueiredo and the No. 1 ranked Moreno serves as the co-main event of the UFC 263 pay-per-view card.

The first bout between the two ended in a majority draw, which ended Figueiredo’s run of four straight stoppage victories and five consecutive wins. With that, Figueiredo’s total of UFC finishes remained at seven, which left him in a tie for first in most stoppages in the UFC’s 125-pound division with former champion Demetrious Johnson. Figueiredo joined the UFC in 2017. His career record with the promotion is 9-1-1.

Figueiredo thinks he will break the tie he is in with Johnson.

“I’m confident I’ll knock Brandon out,” the champion told MMA Junkie. “This second time around, I’ll be able to show how much I’ve evolved. I had a complete training camp – almost four months. We studied him very well. I’m going to show him that I’m the true owner of the championship belt.”

If Figueiredo gets a stoppage finish, he will be the first man to defeat Moreno in that manner. All five of Moreno’s setbacks on his 18-5-2 record have come via decision. He was 4-0-1 heading into his first meeting opposite Figueiredo.

Below is a look at where Figueiredo and Moreno appear in the UFC record book ahead of UFC 263.

UFC 263 takes place on June 12 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The main card streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+ and early prelims on ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.
