Derrick Lewis gets into a funny exchange with a French reporter at the UFC 265 pre-fight press conference.
Derrick Lewis had the perfect response after being asked by a French reporter at Thursday’s UFC 265 pre-fight press conference how it would feel to lose to Frenchman Ciryl Gane in front of his hometown.
“Derrick, how would it feel to get beat by a Frenchman in front of your fans?” the reporter quizzed (h/t MMA Fighting).
“You’re going to have to excuse my French, but f*ck you and f*ck him,” Lewis said to the delight of the fans in attendance at Houston’s Toyota Center.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate @Thebeast_ufc‘s French?

The reporter tried to goad Lewis into an exchange, but ‘The Black Beast’ was having none of it.
“Write that sh*t down, take a picture. I don’t give a f*ck,” Lewis replied after the reporter said he would remember his words on Saturday night.
When asked why he’s such a hit with the fans, Lewis said it’s probably because he’s ‘real’ and authentic and not afraid to speak his mind.
“Sh*t, probably cause I’m real, I’m not fake like everyone else is in the sport,” he said. “I speak my mind. I don’t care what you think of me. I’m still gonna speak my mind no matter what.”
Lewis and Gane will square off for the interim heavyweight title in the UFC 265 main event. The PPV takes place tomorrow night, Aug. 7, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
