Bloody Elbow presents its fight night and post-fight coverage for UFC 265, which goes down on Saturday, August 7th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. In the main event, Houston’s own Derrick Lewis takes on French striker Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight championship. It is likely that the winner will take on undisputed champion Francis Ngannou in a unification bout next.
The co-main event is a men’s bantamweight showdown between former featherweight champion Jose Aldo and fellow Brazilian contender Pedro Munhoz. Originally, Amanda Nunes was set to defend her women’s bantamweight belt vs. Julianna Pena, but had to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19.
UFC 265 airs live on ESPN+ pay-per-view, with a main card start time at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT and televised prelims on ESPN (simulcast on ESPN+) at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. Early prelims also air on both ESPN and ESPN+ at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT.
