Volkov (33-9) vs. Tybura (22-6) has been added to UFC 267, according to MMA Fighting, taking place at UFC Fight Island on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates on Sat. Oct. 30. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White hopes for the card to air on network television via ABC.
Volkov (no. 5) suffered a unanimous decision setback against Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC Vegas 30 on Sat., June 26. He finished both Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris prior to that and is on a 3-2 run in his last five fights.
Tybura (no. 8) enters the fight on the best winning streak of his UFC career with five consecutive wins. He scored technical knockouts (TKO) over Walt Harris (watch highlights) and Greg Hardy in his last two outings.
UFC 267 is headlined by a UFC Light Heavyweight title fight that will pit division champion Blachowicz vs. Teixeira. A UFC Bantamweight title rematch is expected to serve as the co-main event as Aljamain Sterling defends his belt against former champion Petr Yan. Other notable fights planned for the card include Islam Makhachev vs. Rafael dos Anjos and Li Jingliang vs. Khamzat Chimaev.
