Check out the first episode of Embedded for UFC 267.
UFC 267 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs (even if this isn’t a PPV per se) has issued the first episode for this weekend’s huge show on Fight Island, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at JFK Airport with light heavyweight title challenger Glover Teixeira. He talks about his journey to a second title shot. He knows that finishing fights has earned him a lot of fans.
We move over to vacant bantamweight title challenger Cory Sandhagen now. He’s complimentary of opponent and former champ Petr Yan. He expects a 25-minute war. He’s teaching a kid’s class, which he really likes to do. We move over to Sandhagen’s house, where he’s talking to his massage therapist about what to do on the super-long flight to Abu Dhabi.
We head straight over to Fight Island now, where Jan Blachowicz is on the bus to the hotel with his wife and kid. He flew in business class while the wife and kid were in coach! Brutal!
John Hackleman talks up his charge Teixeira, saying how special his journey was. He thinks the champ is great, but Glover is gonna make it a great fight.
Amanda Ribas is fighting on Fight Island for the third time, so she knows what to expect as he enjoys the outdoor pool. Blachowicz is sitting nearby, not with a drink as usual, but with his son. He likes being around all the other fighters because of the competitive pressure. He has no bad blood with Glover, but wouldn’t mind seeing a lot of his blood in the cage.
And that’s it! UFC 267 goes down this weekend on Fight Island.
