It’s a big week for the UFC 5 video game, which recently released a list of new patches and gameplay updates, as well as in-game enhancements ahead of the UFC 306: “O’Malley vs. Dvalishvili” pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sept. 14 at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

The money-sucking venue will be playable after this weekend’s big shebang.

In honor of Mexican Independence Day, select UFC 5 athletes can be outfitted with Riyadh Season Noche UFC 306 Fight Kits when The Sphere is selected as the playable venue. In addition, a handful of Mexican fighters will also have alter egos added to their repertoire.

UFC 5 video game updates begin tomorrow (Sept. 10) at 1 p.m. ET.

Gameplay Updates

—Addressed an issue that caused fighters to glide while recovering from combos used at short range in some circumstances.
—Addressed an issue that caused fighters to glide while recovering from throwing circling or retreating strikes.
—Fixed an issue that allowed a fighter dominating the Cage Single Under Clinch position to land unblockable body punches while the fighter being controlled in that position was trying to escape.
—10-8 rounds are easier to achieve.
—Made it so that the aggravation of cuts and swelling count significantly LESS for judges scoring criteria.
—Made it so that Active Knockdowns (When a fighter doesn’t fall completely and immediately stands back up) count MORE on the judges’ scorecard.
