The UFC has visited Japan, the People’s Republic of China, and the Philippines in its quest to establish itself in Asia.
Next on the list: South Korea.
Saturday, the company announced its debut event in Seoul, as it will host a card at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena on Saturday, Nov. 28.
While no fights have been announced for the event, the UFC has several Korean fighters on the roster, including veteran welterweight Dong Hyun Kim. Additionally, former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson, who is of half-Korean ancestry, has expressed an interested on fighting in the first South Korean event.
