Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC Austin, which is set to hit UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, this weekend (Sat., Dec. 2, 2023), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more!
Moody Center in Austin, Texas, hosts a pivotal Lightweight crossroads match this Saturday (Dec. 2, 2023) when Beneil Dariush looks to bounce back from defeat at Arman Tsarukyan’s expense. Also at 155 pounds, Jalin Turner steps up on short notice to battle the resurgent Bobby Green, while Rob Font welcomes Deiveson Figueiredo to the Bantamweight division in what seems like a guaranteed “Fight of the Night.”

What Went Wrong at UFC Vegas 82?
Luana Pinheiro
Three more minutes of gas and she’d have had it. Unfortunately, Amanda Ribas just had more dog in her (watch highlights).
What Went Right?
Rafael Estevam and Ailin Perez
They won two rounds and somehow survived the third despite doing everything they could to beef it. Fortunately, 29-28 is still a win.
Joanderson Brito
I was completely incorrect about Jonathan Pearce being unable to bully him, but Brito won anyway, so I’ll take it.
Mick Parkin and Michael Morales
Pretty underwhelming performances from both, but they came out on top.
Chase Hooper
A+, no notes.
UFC Austin Odds For The Under Card:
Joaquim Silva (-325) vs. Clay Guida (+260)
Slap Silva in a small- to medium-sized parlay. He’s the better brawler of the two and Guida doesn’t have enough pop to crack Silva’s chin. On top of that, Silva’s shown off the cardio and scrambling skills to deal with high-pressure grinders like Reza Madadi and Jared Gordon, so he should be a decently safe investment.
Julia Avila (-155) vs. Miesha Tate (+130)
Skip it. Avila’s coming off a huge layoff and injury troubles, so there’s no telling how she’ll look in the cage.
Zachary Reese (-218) vs. Cody Brundage (+180)
Brundage is a disaster and Reese is mediocre. Leave it be.
Drakkar Klose (-122) vs. Joe Solecki (+102)
Too close to call. Klose has a huge edge on the feet and Solecki has an equally huge edge on the mat.
Melquizael Costa (-238) vs. Steve Garcia (+195)
Definitely give me Costa at these odds. He’s by far the superior technical striker and the only (technical) knockout loss of his professional career came via corner stoppage, so odds are he can withstand Garcia’s reckless blitz and take him apart.
Rodolfo Bellato (-395) vs. Ihor Potieria (+310)
If you really need to squeeze a few more cents out of a parlay, there are worse choices than Bellato. Potieria might have slightly heavier hands, but Bellato’s grappling and striking technique leave “Duelist’s” in the dust.
Wellington Turman (-192) vs. Jared Gooden (+160)
Though Gooden has some slick offensive boxing, there’s not a whole lot else going his way in this matchup. He’s distressingly easy to hit, and even if he does get a bit of momentum on the feet, the ease with which Carlston Harris threw him around means Turman always has a Plan B. Small bet on Turman.
Jamey-Lyn Horth (-155) vs. Veronica Hardy (+130)
Try a flier on Hardy by virtue of her superior speed, grappling and boxing. Horth is admittedly a fair bit bigger and a solid kickboxer in her own right, so keep your investment limited, but don’t pass up Hardy.
UFC Austin Odds For The Main Card:
Arman Tsarukyan (-278) vs. Beneil Dariush (+225)
While the lines are maybe a bit wider than I’d like, there’s still value in Tsarukyan. That five-round grind against Mateusz Gamrot proved Tsarukyan the rare Lightweight who can match Dariush’s pace and wrestling skills. And while Tsarukyan did get buzzed by Joaquim Silva last time out, Dariush is historically the easier of the two to hurt.
Jalin Turner (-225) vs. Bobby Green (+185)
Both of these men have been inconsistent of late, so I’d rather leave it alone.
Rob Font (-135) vs. Deiveson Figueiredo (+114)
Honestly, Figueiredo seems like a solid underdog pick. “Deus da Guerra” hits like a tank and showed off some solid wrestling in his quadrilogy with Brandon Moreno, so between Font’s tendency to get dropped at inopportune times and his complete inability to stay on his feet against Cory Sandhagen, Figueiredo has enough avenues to victory to justify a bet.
Sean Brady (-118) vs. Kelvin Gastelum (-102)
Gastelum may be an eternal disappointment, but there’s enough going his way to merit a look. Brady somehow contrived to get stopped on the feet by Belal Muhammad and failed to out-strike Michael Chiesa, so it’s easy to picture Gastelum smoking him with a clean one-two combination before Brady can get any sort of grind going.
Punahele Soriano (-270) vs. Dustin Stoltzfus (+220)
It’s clear at this point that Soriano can’t handle technical strikers, but luckily for him, Stoltzfus doesn’t fit that bill. Stoltzfus doesn’t have much to offer besides solid wrestling, which Soriano is ostensibly equipped to deal with. Try a moderate bet on “Puna,” who should be able to club Stoltzfus with power punches for a one-sided win.
