Check out these exclusive future betting odds for Jon Jones’ next potential matchup, including Israel Adesanya, Dominick Reyes, and Brock Lesnar.
At UFC 247, Jon Jones retained his light heavyweight title with a razor-thin unanimous decision over challenger, Dominick Reyes. The fight was exceptionally close, with Reyes getting ahead early on the strike count across the first three rounds, and Jones rallying in the fourth and fifth frames. The natural question of ‘who’s next’ for Jones started right away, with talks of an immediate rematch swirling the moment the controversial decision was read.
Online gambling site SportsBetting.ag has released future betting odds regarding the next potential matchup for the defending champ. Despite a valiant performance in which a lot of people deemed worthy of the victory in the UFC 247 main event, the oddsmakers do not favor Reyes as the next fight for Mr. Jones.
It is actually the UFC’s #5 ranked 205-pounder, Corey Anderson, who is projected to be the next challenger for the champ. The future bet for the owner off four-fight winning streak in Anderson comes with the only minus moneyline of the lot, clocking in at -125.
According to the bookies, the company’s #6 ranked light heavyweight, Jan Blachowicz, is next up in the line of likely candidates. In a huge leap from the betting line of Anderson, Blachowicz is on deck as a +275 underdog. It should be noted that Blachowicz and Anderson are scheduled for an upcoming rematch this weekend at UFC Rio Rancho. The first fight was taken by Anderson with a unanimous decision.

A lot of people, including UFC president Dana White, scored the UFC 247 main event for Dominick Reyes. Nonetheless, the decision went to Jones in what became his 15th successful championship defense — a UFC record. The former title challenger in Reyes ranks third in the bet-setters list of potential Jones opponents. The Reyes option can be acquired at underdog odds of +350.
The rest of the list includes four heavyweights and one middleweight. Out of the big men, Stipe Miocic at +800 is most likely to fight the light heavyweight king next. Then it’s a trilogy bout with Daniel Cormier at +1200, Francis Ngannou at +1400, and a long shot option of Brock Lesnar at +2200.
The lone 185-pounder available to bet on is the UFC’s middleweight king, Israel Adesanya, who has had quite the back and forth with Jones on social media. Adesanya can be picked up with a sizable underdog tag of +1400. Izzy is currently scheduled to defend his title against the ever-scary Yoel Romero at UFC 248 on March 7th.
Whoever Jones’ next opponent might be, let’s just hope his next fight isn’t against Jon Jones. To date, he is the only one that has been able to defeat himself.
