Check out the betting odds for a potential rematch between a returning Nick Diaz and former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler.
It looks like we might be getting a rematch of epic proportions in the UFC 266 co-main event, on September 25th, in the form of a returning Nick Diaz running it back with former UFC welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler. Bloody Elbow is on deck with the opening betting odds for this potential rematch that has been 17-years in the making.
Online gambling site SportsBetting.ag listed Diaz with an opening underdog offering of +210, with Lawler sporting a comfortably favored moneyline of -250. Those numbers didn’t stick around for very long, though. This line quickly adjusted, and Nick now resides at the +130 mark, with Lawler’s favored line slimming down to -150. The website states that this fight must happen in 2021 for action.
Diaz hasn’t competed in an MMA match since his UFC 183 no contest to Anderson Silva in January of 2015. You know, the one where he fully lounged on his back against a G.O.A.T. Lawler has been more active, but has gone a rough 1-4 since losing his 170-pound title in 2016. The first time Robbie and Nick went at it was way back at UFC 47 in 2004, where the +200 Diaz pulled off a stunning second-round upset over the -260 Lawler.
