UFC boss Dana White puts firm kibosh on Conor McGregor, Logan Paul fight in India

UFC CEO, Dana White has claimed rumors of a potential pairing of Conor McGregor and Logan Paul are well wide of the mark — with the long-time promotional boss awaiting the Dubliner’s return to the Octagon, potentially in the fall of his year.

In recent weeks, both McGregor and Paul have played up a potential exhibition boxing match in Mumbai, India — as part of a massive $250,000,000 pay day for the duo to share the ring in a scrutinized pairing.

However, yet to make good on his return to mixed martial arts competition, McGregor was scheduled to snap a hiatus dating back to 2021 in the summer of last year, before withdrawing from a UFC 303 headliner with Michael Chandler during International Fight Week, citing a fractured toe.

And playing up a potential new year return against surging Kiwi striker, Dan Hooker to boot in recent months, McGregor appears to have missed out on that matchup, too — with former interim lightweight champion, Justin Gaethje suggesting he will return at UFC 313 to face the City Kickboxing mainstay in March instead.

Furthermore, following confirmation from Mams Taylor this week — who represents Paul’s business partner, British musician and content creator, KSI how talks between his client and McGregor’s team had taken place regarding a boxing clash — White has revealed the Dubliner will not be facing off with Paul next at least.

Daniel Cormier reveals likely replacement when UFC CEO Dana White retires: 'He seems like he's being primed'

“No [Conor McGregor will not fight Logan Paul]. No, no [Conor McGregor will not fight KSI]. Hopefully Conor returns [to the UFC] in the fall of this year,” Dana White said on the Pardon my Take podcast.

According to the above-mentioned, Taylor, however, he believes a fight between his client and Mcgregor would break many records if they were to share the squared circle next.

“There are talks taking place, and talks are leading to more talks,” Taylor told. “I know he’s (Conor McGregor) is interested for a fact. I think no fight makes more sense than this fight for Conor. He was truly unbelievable in the days where he fought Jose Aldo. He’s a tough guy, he’s a tough challenge for anyone and I think now with the back and forth, it makes sense. I think this will break records and be in the top five biggest-selling pay-per-views of all time.
