Yeah, that happened.
It was a spirited UFC Brooklyn press conference involving flyweight champion Henry Cejudo, bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw, and lightweight preliminary card headliners Donald Cerrone and Alexander Hernandez. The ending? A bit weird.
Cejudo is obviously fully committed to the “Dillashaw is a snake” bit that was started way back when Conor McGregor referred to Dillashaw as “a snake in the grass” during The Ultimate Fighter season 22. Nearly four years removed from that memorable bit of television, the Olympic gold medalist had both his gold medal with him, along with a fake snake in a bag. Dana White handed the bag to him prior to the staredowns, and then he took the “snake” out, killed it by slamming its head against the stage, before throwing it into the crowd. Needless to say, I don’t think the crowd was won over by the bit.
