Amanda Nunes didn’t just earn two wins in a row inside the Octagon, she became the first woman ever to do that in the UFC as she stopped kickboxing great Germaine de Randamie at 3:56 of the first round at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 (UFC Fight Night 31) in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
The round began with both fighters measuring each other’s reactions and working from distance. Eventually, however, Nunes pressured de Randamie into the fence and worked for the takedown. The American Kickboxing Academy product wouldn’t go down right away, however, which forced the Brazilian to change the method of her attacks from her level change a number of times.

Eventually, however, she was able to drag de Randamie to the mat where her jiu-jitsu superiority quickly took over. Nunes swiftly passed to mount, which is where a barrage of punches and ultimately elbows caused referee Herb Dean to stop the action.
Nunes climbs to 9-3 in professional MMA while drops to 4-3.
