Live, blow-by-blow updates for today’s UFC event on Fight Island on ESPN and ESPN+, which features a flyweight title rematch.
Join us today (July 18th) on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring, and full play-by-play (main card) as UFC Fight Island 2: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2 goes down on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
The main event is a flyweight title bout between Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez. These two fought for the vacant belt in February, with Figueiredo winning by knockout but failing to win the title because he missed weight. Both men are on weight, so the only way the belt isn’t awarded tonight is if there’s a draw or no contest.
Your co-main event features contenders Jack Hermansson and Kelvin Gastelum in a pivotal middleweight bout.
This show is kicking off a little earlier than usual. The seven-fight preliminary card is scheduled to start at 5pm ET/2pm PT. There will be a stream on ESPN+ as well in addition to the ESPN broadcast on television. The five-fight main card will kick off at 8pm ET/5pm PT exclusively on ESPN+.
