Tonight, Saturday, January 16th, 2021, in the main event of UFC Fight Island 7, we had a main event featuring Max Holloway vs. Calvin Kattar. In our co-main event, we had fight veterans Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown.
Overall, this 10-bout card saw three swift finishes in Round 1, no submissions, three exciting KO/TKO’s, seven decisions, including our five round main event. Rounding things out, bonuses for putting forth POTN efforts went to Punahele Soriano, Alessio Di Chirico, and Jingliang Li; FOTN honors went to Holloway vs. Kattar. What a night of fights we have to share with you!
Also on the card, we had an exciting welterweight bout between Jingliang Li and Santiago Ponzinibbio, which swiftly ended in RD 1 in a POTN from ‘The Leech’. Just prior to that battle, we had a brief but fantastic middleweight bout between Alessio Di Chirico and Joaquin Buckley, which also ended rapidly in round 1 in another POTN from ‘Manzo’. T The featured opening bout for the main card had the sensational Hawaiian Punhele Soriano continue his undefeated streak against Duško Todorovi? in the third POTN, also ending in Round 1.
