Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the hurt business this Saturday night (April 22, 2017) for UFC Fight Night 108: “Swanson vs. Lobov,” which takes place inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, live on FOX Sports 1.
The promotion’s latest mixed martial arts (MMA) card will feature a featherweight showdown pitting division stalwart Cub Swanson against The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 slugger Artem Lobov. Elsewhere on the card, longtime lightweight tornado Diego Sanchez welcomes Al Iaquinta back to the Octagon.

Round 2: Lauzon a little flat-footed, eats knees in the clinch. One minute in. Ray lands a good body shot. Hard elbow upstairs. Jab by Lauzon. Ray slinging left hands. Lauzon shoots, can’t get it. One minute in. Ortiz wrenches him to the ground, takes him right back down when he pops up. Moreno struggling to use the cage to stand. Ortiz looking for the back. Two minutes in. Moreno works his way to his feet, Ortiz still attached. Ortiz still muscling him around. Moreno manages to slip out halfway through the round. They trade kicks and punches. Round 3: McBride still game, throwing back as Holtzman slams home punches. Left hook jacks McBride’s jaw. McBride tries a takedown and pulls guard. One minute in. There’s just nothing behind McBride’s strikes. Left hook from Holtzman, looking for a head kick. More combinations. Hard leg kicks. Uppercut by McBride. More leg kicks by Holtzman. Heavy left hook rattles McBride, who tries a horrendous shot. Two minutes to go. McBride is out of steam and out of options, eating strike after strike from Holtzman. Uppercut by McBride. Round 1: Early right hand from Davis, who surrenders a takedown and immediately starts working a high guard. Dandois waits it out. One minute in. Davis looking to set up an armbar, takes some ground-and-pound. Davis has an overhook, trying to use it. Two minutes in. Dandois postures up to punch and Davis grabs an armbar, rolling “Battlecat” over and looking to crank. Dandois using her legs to clamp down on Davis’ head and prevent her from cranking. Two minutes to go.
Davis abandons the armbar and takes mount. Ground-and-pound from Davis. Dandois transitions to a leglock, loses it, and Davis falls back for a 50/50 heel hook. One minute to go. Davis takes top position. Davis falls back for the heel when Dandois turns into her and they scramble until the bell. 10-9 Davis.
Round 2: Dandois’ hair has gone full cockatoo.
They trade punches in the center. Both seem pretty tired. Dandois shoots a minute in, denied and Davis lands knees in the clinch. Dandois tries, can’t get a head-and-arm throw. Straight right from Davis, who denies another shot two minutes in. Body kick from Davis and a nice knee. They jockey in the clinch and Dandois tries another throw, landing on the bottom. Davis in half guard with two minutes to go.
Davis stands and lets her up. They exchange punches, more knees from Davis. One minute to go. Dandois hits a double-leg into guard. Dandois stands over her and drops some punches. Davis looks for an arm at the bell. 10-9 Davis.
Round 3: Back to trading punches. Dandois brings her down twenty seconds in. Back to the high guard. Davis makes her way back up ninety seconds into the round after limited damage. Left hand by Dandois, body kick and knee from Davis and Dandois takes her to the fence. Dandois lands a head-and-arm throw. Davis quickly sweeps her way back to the feet. Two minutes to go.
Body kick lands for Davis, who stuffs a level change. Dandois hits a nice takedown into guard, moving her hips to snuff out the beginnings of an armbar attempt. One minute to go. Round 1: Low kick from Barberena, high kick attempt by Proctor. One minute in. Barberena not showing much pressure at the moment, lands a hard inside low kick. Good combination draws a smile from Proctor. They exchange, Barberena gets the better of it. Two minutes in. Proctor presses forward with punches. Another hard low kick by Barberena. Proctor answers. Two minutes to go.
Heavy counter left by Barberena and a right hook as they taunt one another. As they’re posturing, Barberena drops him with a tight right hook. Barberena swarms him with punches and knees until he goes down and polishes him off there.

125 lbs.: Hector Sandoval vs. Matt Schnell
Round 1: Schnell considerably taller and longer. Low kick from Sandoval. Fake knee tap to overhand right, eats a leg kick in return. Sandoval tries two naked low kicks, eats a right hand and they slug it out in the clinch. Schnell seems rattled and Sandoval hits a quick takedown before going back to slugging. One minute in. They keep bashing each other until Sandoval tries a flying knee and gets taken down, scrambling out of an armbar attempt. Two minutes in. Leg kick from Schnell and a nice counter uppercut. NICE right hand by Sandoval and he takes him down into guard. Two minutes to go.
Schnell already bringing his legs up. Sandoval uses a triangle attempt to make room to stand and it’s back to clinch violence. Good shots by Sandoval before they exit. Sandoval catches a low kick and takes him down, only to land in a guillotine. He SLAMS Schnell into the mat twice, freeing his head, and then puts him to sleep with hammerfists.
Final result: Sandoval def. Schnell by KO (punches)
